Official Flag of The Jatibonicu Taino Tribal Nation of Borikén

This is the official tribal flag of the Jatibonicu Taino Tribal Nation of Borikén (Puerto Rico). It was first officially adopted as the tribal nation flag on the 18th day of November 1970, by orders of the tribal elders of Grand Council of the Jatibonicu Taino Tribal Nation of Borikén. It is to be noted that the tribal flag originally represented the three divided Towns of Orocovis, Barranquitas and Aibonito that presently reside within the Jatibonicu Taino Tribal territory. Later the tribal flag would come to also represent the three confederated Taino tribal bands that form our tribal nation in Puerto Rico, Florida and New Jersey.
